Wk05: Learning Journal Markov
1. Who did you work with?
I worked with Monica, Flavio, and Jeremy.
2. My strategy for solving the Markov assignment:
During this Markov assignment, I had no strategy. I didn’t prepare enough for this project and it resulted in a bad outcome. I needed to give myself the time to understand everything and I definitely didn’t. It seemed easier than expected, but it wasn’t. I did start writing the code from the prompt right away but I did not finish it. Before I resubmit my assignment, I will study the UML diagram and write down the details of the fields and methods used in the class on paper. I enjoy writing notes, and I think that will help me rewrite this program along with others.
3. My classmate's strategy for solving the Markov assignment:
Flavio's strategy for solving this assignment was first using the tools he had which was the video Dr.C had posted. He then read the document needed to start the assignment and started right away following it. Monica read the prompt and began the skeleton of each method and putting comments for her TODO list. After this, she implemented it before running the tests.
4. How would I change my strategy after having worked on the assignment?
My strategy would be the opposite of what I did. It was hard for me to understand this assignment due to the lack of time I gave myself to accomplish it. Moving forward I am going to write down the UML diagram and highlight what I accomplished in my code. I enjoy writing notes as it organizes my thoughts. Therefore, I would also organize and write on paper what the steps of how I will go about my code and check off each step to make sure I don't miss anything.
5. According to your classmates: how well does your code follow the Google Java style guide?
According to my classmates, I did a good job attending to the Google Java style guide when writing my code.
